Pepperoni Pizza

Thursday, May 27th, 2004

I like it. There is a time for it. But it probably would never be my first choice. Turns out it wouldn’t be Lorrie’s first choice either (however she would prefer it to bugs).
Sadly we didn’t realize that about each other until after years of ordering Pepperoni Pizza EVERY time [...]

Oops!

Thursday, May 27th, 2004

I just made a *minor* change to a report and when I said save…I launched an EXTENDED process of attempting to recalculate all the data in the database. Guess I’ll get some reading done while the computer is otherwise-engaged.

$767.35!

Wednesday, May 26th, 2004

Not for the airfare.
Not for a hotel.
Not for luggage.
Not for meals.
Not for pictures.
Not for souvenires.
Just for five (5) little booklets.
Passports. INCLUDING expediting passport service, processing fee (US Postal Service - who I must say were very professional and friendly), next-day mailers (6: one outbound, five returning).
I better do some BILLABLE work today!

Gems

Thursday, May 20th, 2004

Brian:
…my time in the desert hasn’t been aimless wandering, but instead a time of learning and longing…learning to be quiet and to listen…longing to hear, to see and [...]

Trouble on the Web!

Wednesday, May 19th, 2004

My 13 year old son, Jeremy (the shoe killer) and his 13 year old cousin, Joel (living in the Azores) have combined their shocking powers and are now blogging together. I can’t tell you what any of their posts mean - but I’m having fun just knowing stuff is flying around my head that [...]

Church at its Finest

Tuesday, May 18th, 2004

from an email from my pastor, Bill:
“We are family & friends and although money is a personal issue I don’t think it ought to be private.”
This is scary. This is dangerous. THIS is what we need to be exploring. Church that can’t go here, tenderly yet with conviction, is not worth the [...]
